Not worth the trade off? Before I sold it, my 09 M3 had a hair short of 180K miles running on T6 with an OCI every 5-8k. Blackstone reports always came back pretty spectacular.

There are some VW and Mercedes diesels that run much hotter oil temps than N54's......

yeah and t6 is definitely not spec for it. my preference is the viscosity index and you will see the new 0wXX oil msds are super good at not burning off at high temps. you can always just choose redline or vr1 imo and not go wrong
