Apologies but I laughed out loud.

Sorry for your dads loss - sounds like he had a great sense of humor

I use a small CPA and have for about a decade. Nothing difficult, I started using him back when I was with the ex-wife and we started filing jointly and she worked for herself (hair stylist who made $$$$). And I've just kept it up now because I don't want to mess with it.

$200. My taxes were filed the first week of February.

Tax prep fees range wildly. I've been burned enough to tell clients that I'll give them a range of fees, and then tighten down that range once I see their previous return and confirm that there were no new changes this year that would impact the work.

I could be running somewhere from $250 - $7,000 for a job, though the higher end is preparation of financials, taxes, sales taxes, T4's, etc. That's also Canadian money so divide it accordingly. If you use the UncleWede calculator, I believe it approximates a range of $0.25 - $7.00, so I'm basically wildly cheap.

But I don't do any cross border work, so screw you.
