took a bunch of random pictures from today's Autox (7/13)

now all of these are from my crappy point and shoot Kodak (sorry for that, no pro here). Didn't participate was just a spectator, beautiful day and a good time.

there weren't that many cars there maybe 30 or so. I didn't get there until like 2pm though. Not an easy place to find and it was a late saturday night.

Thanks for the pics - that red Porsche 911 Turbo (993) had to be my favorite car there. It was great to see it run.

There was an automatic monaco blue 335xi with exhaust in my group, and a jerez black on red (I think) E92 M3 that always ran in front of me

I had an awesome time and took some decent pictures - I'll post them later.

must be fun...but how much do you pay for this?
Not trying to be rude, but I wouldn't pay to track in a parking lot

Hi ska! It's at Deven Airfield.. We have the entire runway system at our disposal. A lot of autocrosses are in parking lots though. We're actually very lucky to have the space we do.

A regular autocross event is $35, and a T&T/School is $75.

I think what he's trying to say is that he wants to go for a spin with you in the 135 to get a taste of autocrossing..

You should definitely head up there and go for a spin with Larry.. You'll get a good idea of what autocross is..

I thought I had a pretty good idea of what these cars were capable of, and then he took me out for a spin..

Not true, Chris was there with the mufflers that I welded on for him in his monaco blue 335. Also there was a E92 M3.

No ED this time. I didn't have the time or the cash to do another 2 weeks vacation for 4 (with my daughters). Mine came over on the 1st customer ordered ship with 1ers in it, so I only got a thousand off sticker, and that was very rare. It's still not great negotiating on 1's right now.

You should swing by some time! We have a bunch of spectators that come by and we loan them helmets for shotgun rides. I think we get a lot of people to sign up after they stop by and see what we're doing, and how much fun it is. You learn a TON about what you and your car are capable of too, and make a bunch of friends doing it!

BYW, Next T&T will be a different format. Break everybody up into three groups, have one group running a timed autox course, another working the course, and a third group using the 4 exercise areas on the main runway, and swap every 50-60 minutes. That way, you're running 2/3 of the time! There will be no gridding either. You constantly get back in line for your next run. That way it's fair and we all get a ton of seat time.
