I'm working a deal at MSRP and .00185 MF, and told residual on 36/10 is 54%, which seems low compared to other current M series and matches the current M240i RV. each point is about $20 a month...so yes its very relevant LOL

My thought behind saying that MF is not relevant is because most people buying a ~$70k vehicle will not be swayed by $100 a month difference in payment. Someone who wants an M2 is going to buy it regardless of what the residual is. |

Is MSRP a good deal on HEA car? And do you think it would be possible to get rid of it in a few months without taking a loss?

No; I don’t think you’re escaping some loss if you try and flip a HEA car near the end of this summer. Total expense is more than only MSRP, and I think far from a given you’re recouping that completely. I wonder if you could come out ahead even if the HEA car is flipped immediately with effectively zero miles. If I have that question It’s difficult to imagine how it’d be possible after a few months. I could be wrong though. |

My dealership has always sold cars at MSRP. For the first time ever my sales manager said we are going to do a 10k ADM on the M2. I have been skeptical but it's not my cars, so whatever.
So far we dont have any takers on our HEA at 10k over. Or $5k over. Or any amount over MSRP. I feel like if there were such a high demand then we would have already sold it with an ADM but it hasn't happened. I strongly feel like we will default to selling these at MSRP, no more, but we will see. The point of this is to say that I don't think anyone is going to be flipping a HEA. You can try, but I don't think it will happen. Now, if someone happens to buy one, and keep the miles off of it, I bet it will be pretty desirable in 10 years when there are no more manual cars around. But that's not my plan. I'm going to drive the hell out of mine. |

Glad to hear people aren't rewarding this behavior in some markets. I know in others, they are, sadly.

I suspect there will still be plenty of markups occurring depending on area, and I also think demand might spike once the youtuber hype hits next month.

Hi everyone, I’ve been sitting at “Production Begins” for a little over a week now.
How long did it take y’all to get to “Exterior body assembly begins?” Thanks in advance! |

What find of money factor are folks getting offered on leases right now? I just got offered .00205 which seems like they may be trying to make their money on me there.

4.92% doesn’t seem bad for the times, especially on a newly released M car with a waiting list. What’s the Residual? Financing rates are higher. Did you ask them if they’re adding to the MF?

Residual is 55% which I think is hilariously low. I did not ask if they are adding to MF but I certainly will. Any other recommendations? The lease is certainly coming in higher than I was expecting, but I think that has a lot to do with the trash residual on the car.

They're definitely making money because that's high. Carmax is offering 4.5 on used cars....

That’s the best Used Car rate I’ve seen but I would never finance a used car let alone from CarMax. Probably part of the reason those Used Car superstores are dropping like flies, well that an buying leased cars from people without a title.
