water pump codes
So I just bought the $450 water pump thermostat and coolant kit off of fcp euro and I’m still getting 2E83 and 2E85 codes. (Water pump missing) and (water pump power reduced operation) I have no idea why it’s doing this. I’m not leaking, I’ve cleared the codes multiple times on MHD and I’ve only put about 100 miles on the new water pump. I’m also dealing with white smoke pouring out of my exhaust no boost being built assuming that’s just turbo seals no biggie 🥹. As long with this weird issue I’m having where my car will just move 5mph max randomly when I’m driving and the traction lost light pops up also can’t seem to get the dtc traction control light off my dash it’s really weird.

It's possible something else on the BSD circuit is faulting...oil level sensor, alternator (voltage regulator control), intelligent battery sensor or water pump. Even though you replaced the water pump, it could also still be a wiring fault in the water pump harness. Do a search here for BSD and you'll likely find several threads solving this issue by finding the offending component. Most start by unplugging each of the four components one at a time to see if that resolves the codes. My water pump errors were caused by the alternator, specifically a faulty voltage regulator.

I think the intelligent battery might the issue. I have seen codes for that come in multiple times.
