Explain to me how Dinan could buy the rights to the core though. Spearco supplies many people and companies with cores. What exactly did Dinan buy then?

The probably licensed the 335 application (the mounting brackets, placement for the intake and output) and not the core. The only value Dinan will add is the channel and volume commitment to Spearco.

It's not about their prices, I could care less about Dinan. You're obviously a fan of theirs. For me, its all about common sense.

Lets see...$2k for the Flash(Stage 1 with more stages coming, which means thousands more), $2k for an oil cooler(), and probably $3k for an intercooler. Those three cost $7k minus tax and labor. Are you kidding me? You could do so much more with $7k+. Its all about the badge. Whatever, its your money.

I'm not a "fan" of anyone. But let's break down what you just said. The first stage of the Dinan flash is putting down a little more power than Procede 1.47, and how much was that, almost $1,500? Was that little box really worth that much? Is that not overpriced? How can Terry (R.I.P.) sell something similar to the Procede that he made in his driveway that offers similar power gains.

Second: The OEM BMW additional oil cooler, if you were to want to buy one for your car (no go on a retrofit), it would cost MORE than the Dinan cooler. And since nobody else has an oil cooler kit out right now, Dinan gets to make it a little pricey.

Last: The Dinan intercooler is not out yet, so I don't care what anybody says about its price.

My car put down 339whp and 380wtq with PROcede V1.47 and exhaust... Show me a Dinan tuned car with exhaust that puts down that power on any other dynojet...

It's a common thing for companies with patents on coveted technology to sell the "rights" for their product to be used exclusively by one company for a particular application.

I smell the distinct odor of denial.

Obviously I like the products they offer, or else I wouldn't buy them?

Perhaps it is not so much a Dinan exclusive anymore...
