you can actually test internals for nitrous use. My friend used to run a 100 DRY shot in his integra (2000 GS-R) and the car only had about 2k miles on it. Well as the folks w/ nitrous background know, a dry shot is more dangerous as you dont accompany the extra air w/ fuel... So his car wouldnt start anymore and he took the car to the dealer. They ran alot of tests one of which included testing the internals for nitrous...

You'll be alright if you know what your doing. My guess is that you dont know all that much about whats safe and whats not.
Crap, I ran a ~125 shot 9yrs ago on my POS Dodge Avenger for a long time. It was a relatively safe system. Additional fuel was supplied by piggy backing into each injector. Then it monitored injector duty cycle and a/f ratios and would shut off if certain conditions were exceeded. Still, thats not everything in the equation. |

It's not 50 "shots", it's "a 50 shot" meaning the amount of NO2 relevent to a 50hp increase- you don't add extra shots for more power.
Dry kits and wet kits have there own pros and cons. Dry kits manipulate the OEM fuel system to add the right amount of extra fuel seperately from the NO2- I'd think the only real workible setup on our cars. The wet kits meter the extra fuel and NO2 together at the same time somewhere upsteam in the intake. N02 is safe and very effective, especially in turbo cars- a nice N02 shot will spool up big turbos very quickly, and it boils at about minus (-) 127 degrees, so it helps with cooling the hot intake charge too. Like most people said, it's a great setup if you know what you're doing. The biggest problem is the bottle running dry |

I'm assuming that you didn't read this whole thread.
We had some fun discussing this. Quote:

i'd put $50 down you'd hit 20psi@2800rpm if you fired off a 50 shot wet single fogger. 50hp of fuel and air (rated at peak hp) pushed down to 2800rpm on the N54 would probably throw down 600-700wft/lb of torque if the rods don't bend or the rear end doesn't blow to pieces.

Nothing wrong with a small shot if INSTALLED CORRECTLY. BUT if you're spraying too soon, not watching your A/F, not running the right plugs, or making a number of the other possible mistakes, you are certainly at risk.
