N57 auto trans lurches when braking
Hello,
This may be a bit vague, but any suggestion is valuable as I (and mechanics that I have access to) don't know what to do. The car with auto transmission brakes terribly. If brake pedal is suddently pressed, you can hear the engine lurch the car forward after which the trans disengages. Seems like the trans or the engine is interpreting braking as resistance and trying to force its way through rather than disengaging. Brakes are serviced and/or new, transmission serviced with new mechatronic sleeves. The best two shots left are- a remap or looking into the wiring of the brake switch (EDIT: switch may be pointless as brake lights work as expected). |
