shouldni be worried about water in engine

hey, just got cowl filter delete for my n54 e90 335i, and im running the BMS filters now. The one thing im worried about is water getting into my engine bay and possibly damage the engine. I watched a video from it titled “This mod could ruin your engine” and he was talking all about water going into his 6th cylinder when he did the cowl delete, and im worried anout that. Should i be worried? And is there a way to make sure no water goes into the engine with the cowl delete?

IMO don't do it. I was running the stock cowl with M3 strut brace which causes the cowl to sit 2-3mm higher than it should and I got water in my 6th cyl plug and coil. Totally rusted my plug out and my coil was wet and all brown. And that's with the cowl still on, just not quite sealing properly.

Damn yeah, was about to say I personally would keep the cowl because it prevents water infiltration and I've read post about some getting in the 6th cylinder spark plug area. That said not sure if those people had the engine cover on or not, I would think having the engine cover on prevents it but yeah. IMO it's just not worth the time savings you get, the cowl is easy enough to get off.

But I'm sure others on here have that mod with no issues either.
