agreed. pretty much all pictures i see of the ohlins have the rears set as high as possible, but the fronts is only halfway raised. why did they design it that way?! do they expect people to ramp up the front and leave the rear looking slammed? doesn't make sense...
wish i could raise the rear a tad more than the max raise.. |

which swift springs did you get to match the ohlins? did you just do rears like most people?
i've seen setup of 9" 12kg swift springs in the rear in 335i. not sure which to use in 335d... Quote:

Just purchased the Ohlin R&T coil-overs kit for my '08 335i E90 approximately 2 months ago and just haven't installed them yet. I'm concerned now about the rust issues that I've been reading about in my additional read-up on the Ohlins.
Some of these posts are 1 & 2 years old now. Does anyone know if Ohlin has resolved this issue yet or is it still a problem. I'm wondering now if I should return them and try KW-3's. Thanx for your comments! |

I have the bilstein b14 kit on mine with all the m3 suspension bits and new control arms. I didn’t go with the ohlins because heard about issues with corrosion and that same thing (that more rebuilds were necessary), I live where there is salt so I opted for the bilstein instead.

These are 8 years with the ohlins. some surface rust for sure, but ride's great still and no issues as far as I can tell

I have had my Ohlins R&T on for about 4 years/65k miles. I originally had them on my 335i and switched them to my 335d. They still drive and perform very well, although I can feel the wear in the shocks. Not a big deal considering a rebuild is $500 through 3DM Motorsports. |
