N54 Wastegate Rattle Solutions

Hey guys,

I know this topic has been talked about more than anything...

But I just want to clear some things up.

I have severe wastegate rattle which my stage 1 MHD tune has caused (the MHD rattle fix doesn't help it).

My car and these turbos have 83k miles on them.

I would like to fix the problem and I dont mind spending around £1.5k.

The best solution I have found is getting reconditioned exchange turbos (OEM).

My only concern is will this fix the actual wastegate rattle? As I have heard the wastegate assembly is also connected to manifold...

Any thoughts???

Its a good excuse to fit Hybrids........

If you want to stick with standard, its probably worth having new cores and seals put in as well. they are bound to be on there last legs. PMP fit uprated wastegates as well by the way, from Vargas.

Should be a lot cheaper than 1500quid.

+1 for PMP. They did my first 335i wastegate rattle and about to take another 335i there to do the same. £600
