Request: Aluminum Jack Points

Can someone please for the love of every that is good and holy make aluminum (or some metal) jack points for the E9x chassis? My jack points are now basically flat because BMW chose to make another part on this f*cking car plastic. I jack my car up at every jack point multiple times a day almost every weekend with a racing jack and jack stands and these points are just not up to par. Please, PLEASE someone machine these in metal!

Maybe you should have applied some support so it wouldn't have bent. Just a thought, I don that. Apply a thing wide plate.

My e39 had plastic jack points, 155k miles and many, many times on floor jack and jack stands and never had a problem. Wifes e90 no problem with the lift blocks and my e91 no problem either. I think it comes down to how you place a floor jack and how big is the jack pad. My floor jack has a 4.5" square pad so the whole jack block is supported on the flat of the jack pad.

Get replacement plastic cups from BMW and PM him to see if he has any of these adaptors left:

If you can't get it, cut a rectangular piece of hardwood that fits exactly into the hole will do too.

I think what he's asking for is a pad (though I'd vote for plastic/rubber over aluminum) that would snap into the factory unibody hole to replace the stock cup... which I think is a fantastic idea

Kind of like the flat jack pads for E36's.

Besides, the cup+adapter scheme requires more ground clearance or a lower jack saddle than a plain pad-to-pad setup.
