Honestly, I don't know how the club survives. For my membership dues, I cannot believe the quality of magazines I receive.
On top of that, great chapters in PA that put on great club events. That's the best part. The rebate is a bonus. Yes, I was DQ'ed once because of a fleet rebate from work, but I'm about to receive one for my new M2. Received it on my previous M2. It isn't about the rebate for me. It's about driving and hanging with other enthusiasts. It's sad, to me as a Gen X'er, that clubs like these are dying.

Clubs like these are dying because most people are buying SUVs. Not really an enthusiast car. And the forced switch to EVs will hurt the club in the future.

FWIW most of the club members around me are in older cars anyways, and not a lot of them showing up to events in SUVs anyways. The biggest risk is that EVs kill enthusiast cars altogether.

Like I said they SUV crowd are not a membership pool. Our local club has only seen one SUV lifetime on the track. And it was my brother-in-law that I goaded into going.

I got an email from them yesterday telling me I received BMW CCA bucks. Went and checked my account and it says I have 15 referrals just this year!! They offered me a $5 bonus to renew early a couple of months ago, so I did. Did my annual renewal for $8 after applying my CCA bucks. So, y’all keep signing up and using my number!! It’s in my signature below.

I enjoy the Roundel, last print magazine I receive. Don't get much benefit any more, but for $52/year, it's worth it to me. I guess the 3 rebates I got paid for 30+ years at current membership prices. |

"BMW NA has gotten very behind in the processing of these pending rebates. We are working closely with them to help them get caught up. We are very sorry for this delay and as soon as the status changes on your rebate, we will update you via email. We will work on our end to remind BMW NA that your rebate is overdue and ask they they process it expeditiously. For your part, if you would like to also remind them that you have been waiting abnormally long for your rebate processing, you can contact BMW NA customer service at 800-831-1117. Again, we will advise you as soon as we hear any change in status. Thanks, BMW CCA" Last edited by jkoral; 06-29-2023 at 07:00 PM.. |
