"Green" is rarely "green". Even if you are a vegan you aren't that green. It's all an illusion where carbon production is pushed off onto another person.

Another example is e85, it's a horrible fuel, the amount of work that goes into corn production (diesel fuel, synthetic petroleum based chemicals etc) and the shear water volume used to create ethanol is mind blowing. The farmers I know think it's hilarious but they'll take the subsidized crop boost.
