how do you guys follow your build?

I get the impression you guys have a website you go to that tells you where in the process your build is. Where is it?
My dealer / salesman hasn't said anything about it.

I found the MyGarage site, but it says it won't have any info until production begins.

Is there anywhere that tells you the order has gone to stage 2?

Jim

You'll need to create an account and you'll need a VIN or order number.

On a side topic, anyone know:

(1) why the USA has the ability to track the vehicle through the build phases but Australia and other markets dont?
(2) has anyone (in a market not supporting this feature), successfully registered on the bmwusa site and then added their VIN without latter on mucking up their ability to register the VIN against their actual country site? (ie I dont want to try this if it means I'll have an issue registering my VIN on the Australia site at a later date). I'm guessing the VIN will need to be a VIN the BMW USA recgonises as a vehicle due to be delivered to USA.

I tried it using a US vpn, I could register but not add a VIN, was a just a generic "can't do that now, try later" message.

Roger that. Thought that might be the case as Im guessing I'm not the first Aussie to have thought about this. And if it worked, we'd all be doing it here. Bizarre that some markets can do this but not others.

I have an order number- it says I need a production number or VIN and I have no cars in My Garage

Just placed my order today, and had the Production Number by the time I got home. “My Garage” recognized it and shows the build details with status of “Scheduled for Production.”

Elsewhere on what I was sent says “Assigned to: W - 38” which I’m guessing means scheduled for Week 38 (Sept 18.)

Maybe your holdup is a result of your dealer not having a G42 build slot at the moment (as mine did.)

Hopefully only a minor delay for you.
