Active grill
I was just watching an old m240i review and it made me wonder why the g87 didn’t inherit the active grill. I couldn’t find anything on search.

No active grill on this model. I imagine the S58 needs more air to perform best and the efficiency gained by closing the grill is minimal compared to keeping it open for better heat dissipation and bringing air into the intakes.

Yes. I've observed my M2's coolant temperature in hot weather (100F+) and even not pushing the car the coolant temperature rather than hovering in the 210F range instead is down to around the 150F level.
Even in lower ambient temperatures aggressive use of the throttle will have the coolant temperature lower, too. |
