What's that smell?!
I'm sure most folks can contribute. Here's my story:
For the past few days I've been catching a whiff of something, particularly downstairs. I looked around for things like a dead mouse, a turd in the corner, but no joy. Then it hit me. Our downstairs guest bathroom bath/shower has not been used in months, so the P-trap dried up. I ran some water down the drain and that cured the problem.

Any funky smells I usually just blame the 1 year old. He's an easy scapegoat until he's able to talk.

My post-WFH office at work came with an attached full bathroom with a handicapped shower for some strange reason. A plumber from the maintenance department visits every two weeks, carrying a gallon jug (that I never looked closely at) and runs water for a few minutes from the shower down into the drain to keep the water and sewer pipes clear. I'll find out what's in the jug and if he's using it in the drain next time he stops by.....
