E90 Diesel xdrive Availability in Europe
To our European friends;
I am looking for a 2007-2010 330d or 335d, x drive, manual transmission. My preference would be a wagon, but a sedan would suffice. Was this configuration available in Europe in Left Hand Drive (EU configuration). My intent is to buy a vehicle and then export it to Canada. I am also looking for recommended dealers/agents who do this type of business. What issues should I look out for with the Diesel engines in this vintage? If this configuration is not possible, is anyone familiar with what I would need to transplant a diesel engine and manual transmission into a North American 2007 328xi, 6 speed manual. Many thanks, Peter Morrin |

but 335d - no, also there were no 335d with manual gearbox 330 lci after 2009 year has less reliable N57 engine i would advise you to search 330xd with M57 engine and you'll be fine.

Purchasing a used 330d in Europe
What are the options for purchasing a used vehicle in Europe? I would likely have to deal with a dealer rather than an individual. Is there an equivalent to "autotrader" or kijiji/craigslist to search for used cars? I can read French English, but my German and Polish is weak!

I'm in Ottawa, imported a 06 330xiT 6MT last summer from Germany. Can meet you in Kemptville any time to go over the procedure.
Site to look is mobile.de. Somewhere there you can pick English. |

the personal cars in poland whose engine displacement is over 2.0l have significant additional one-time registration tax, so their final price is higher that in germany or lithuania or netherlands sometime
so there is no sense to buy car in poland to export it, there will be cheaper option in nearby countries

Thanks Poland. I was always looking at Germany, I lived there for 4 years as a NATO soldier so I knew their every 2 year TUV inspections were strict and any car I buy would have to have a recent TUV inspection. I drove the 16 year old car I imported 1200 kms from seaport to home here with out a flaw. On inspection here, car passed with flying colours.
