There are only two ways to get Riccardo into the states:

1. Visit Canada and buy some, then put it in your suet case or box it up and send it to your address.

2. Have a friend in Canada buy some and ship it to you or buy some and ship it to your friend in Canada and have them ship it to you.

You don’t have to worry about getting it past customs. The last thing on their mind is catching someone with illegal clay due to a patent law. It’s just that detailing companies that are in Canada or any other country that gets Riccardo can not ship it to the U.S. If they get caught they face huge fines.

The only other way to get some is to find someone that is into detailing (like a person on the forum) and see if they want to sell you some. But expect to pay big $$$$.

What would be a comparable clay? Are there nay that possess the same qualities that make it such a great clay that one CAN get in the states?

Not really. I would say Sonus Green Clay is about as close as you are going to get.

Try Meguiars mild clay, it's my favorite clay so far, but I haven't tried any ricardo clay yet. The meguiars clay is much better than Sonus green, the Sonus clay is too tacky when it is hot outside, and the meguiars stretches much more easily.

For those of you that have used the Ricardo clay, what makes it better than Mothers, or Zaino clay?

it's softer, has more ability to pick up those particles and less chance to marr paint

Although it is techinically illegal, there are plenty of detailers here who can supply you with Riccardo clay. Try it out...get over the hype and move on
