I just texted my boy, he is a bmw tech... really good with our cars... I never heard of anyone getting those codes... last time I got problematic codes I did a soft reset... took the negative terminal off the battery for 10 minutes and then plugged it back in.... but hold that off until I get a reply back from him!!

My boy is an a$$... I just called him again and he didn't pick up. He works nights and weekends in a shop if you want to bring it by. Otherwise that try and doing the reset to your car. disconnect the negative terminal for about 10 minutes and then reconnect it! If he calls me back I will PM!

Coming from a mechanics perspective, I don't see how that is even possible! The Jb4 needs to communicate with that sensor in order to read if the motor is boosting or not. When it reads that it allows the ecu to compensate for timing and fuel, along with your 02 sensors. I can get more technical but this is more easier to understand. Is there any way you could forward me that information about the MAF, and that update?

Also what year is your car(n54or N55) ? Because my car (N54) has a map sensor which is located on the charge pipe close to the throttle body.

This is a great document. Do you happen to have one for the N54?

I was getting 2D2F and 2BCB, so replaced the upstream O2 sensor, right after that I started getting 2D34 (signal fixed at rich) code. Did you ever find out the cause?
I am also noticing lean conditions in my engine. Thanks! |
