19/20" Fitment
Going to take the plunge and replace my black 930M wheels with a forged set up to lose some weight. Think I'm going to keep the OEM tire sizes but am thinking about the setup being equivalent to a spacer configuration of 12mm front and 15mm rear. I'm new to after market wheels, does this logic make sense? Any advice? Thanks!

How much spacing you needs depends on the offset, and where you want the outer edge of the tire to be, of course.
So, don't see how we could answer your question without more details, TBH. Any particular wheels you are considering? |

To retain stock tyre sizes ideally you want to stay with stock wheel width - this is where the challenge is, getting aftermarket wheels in the front 19 spec with ET8-10 isn’t happening. HRE have an option with this ET but only in 20, wish we could get that in 19. Apex is an option but they offer one size wider and the front offset is a bit more aggressive that what I would like (it’s about 15mm vs the 10-12mm). Keep us posted what you find. Cheers! |

Yeah, that would mean, without spacers, one would be looking at ET 8 in the front and ET 5 in the rears to get the same look of stock wheels with 12mm and 15mm spacers? Last edited by Ronin76; 04-16-2024 at 09:25 PM.. |

Advice: Go to the wheels sub forum: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/fo...play.php?f=960
Open the Apex wheels thread: https://g87.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=2036400 Find the 19X10 ET12 & 20X11 ET18 sizes and order them. Done. Or ask Expert@ApexWheels

That's exactly what I did and I'm very satisfied with the results.

Dumb question, but I've read that guide many times and keep getting thrown off by
OE Alternative: Front: 275/35-19 // Rear: 285/30-20 OE tire sizes Some front rubbing can occur with tires that run wide against the inner fender liner at full steering lock. So if I do the star spec PS4S on these, is there still a possibility of rubbing? |
