Standalone ECU + CAS coding
Hello everyone, first post so please go easy
![]() I'm having some issues with my swap, not sure how others have pulled it off, but my CAS is not sending starter signal, most likely due to no sync with DME (because there's no DME). I'm running MaxxECU Pro and a Toyota 1UZ engine, the PT-CAN is connected and works, also getting ignition signal, just not the started. If I crank the car in some other way, it will start and will work just fine, which you can see in the bonus vid at the end. I plugged in with INPA and looked around, seems like CAS is activating Clamp15 but not Clamp50, and there was some messages about no sync with DME. Normally one would probably do the Activate->Sync CAS and DME, but that won't be possible with a standalone. So, the question becomes, is it possible to code that whole check out of the CAS? Like, make it not check the DME at all? Sorry for a possibly dumb question, haven't done any coding in BMWs yet, just Thanks in advance, enjoy my temporary fix in the meantime and a pic of the bay: ![]() Last edited by PlayerWithoutName; 05-27-2022 at 06:30 AM.. Reason: changed DDE to DME, dunno why I said DDE |

I don't think so, I asked MaxxECU support team and they said others also had to reprogram something, but I'm still waiting for more details from them.
Thank you for your kind words, it drives pretty okay ![]() Here's more vids: first drive: a more tuned pull today: Thanks! |
