My messy mascara mistake

some chick was in the back of my car applying make-up (i didnt realize at the time) and applied her mascara to my headliner. it's the light grey fabric.

whats my move to remove? i was thinking using a vacuum cleaner and some make up remover so that the mascara doesnt bleed back behind where i wont be able to access.

has anyone removed mascara before? how did you do it? what was your outcome?

thanks guys
J3

Sounds like she damaged your car intentionally? How do you get makeup on the headliner by accident? I'd whoop her ass

she was sittin on the rear hump and I didnt realize she was putting makeup on. i must of hit a bump in the road and made her hand slip up. i didnt realize it till the next day and she denies it.

the stain will stay until i feel comfortable removing it with something someone has tried. there HAS to be someone else out there!?

i've never removed mascara but i use meguiars APC diluted 10:1. Spray on a MF towel and lightly agitate area. Make sure to not spray directly on headliner. It's very sensitive. use light pressure when agitating as well

Whatever you use I would probably recommend blotting instead of scrubbing to prevent the stain from spreading. Also try spraying it on the microfiber towel before hand. Do you have a steam cleaner? If I was in your situation i would probably go with some woolite or meg's apc combined with a steam cleaner. Steam brings the dirt to the surface so it would probably be the safest bet, but that's just an educated guess. Good luck, let us know what you end up going with.

On second thought, since she likes applying make up in your car so much, use her face to wipe it up.
