Ok, so the m3 rep hood uses the stock mounting holes/bracket, and obviously they are too weak to use.

Do you think your brackets can still work? Pics attached.

What rep hood did you get? I got the Seibon and wondering if I will run into the same issue

I'm pretty sure any non oem hood that does not use metal hood bracing will all face the same issue.
