Looking to buy Logic HVI, questions

Is it easy to install? Any significant performance increase? Will my turbo spool sound louder? Where can I buy it/where is it sold the cheapest? Thanks!

Here is a link to the classifieds thread for the Logic HVI. http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134717

Towards the bottom of the page after dyno graphs, and videos you will see links to our customers threads with first hand experience and feedback on our product. I Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best Regards,
Max-

Good to know. Do any of the existing parts in the engine need modification in order to fit the intake?

100% bolt on. No cutting any braces or the plastic fender lining. It comes with a power steering reservoir re-location bracket. One of the easiest intakes I've installed.

Nothing really needs to be modified. I used a piece from the 328 to better direct the air flow, but that's completely up to you.

One point to mention is that it does take a bit of wiggling to get it to sit right. Nothing to complain about, but after I put it in, it seemed to sit higher than it should. I just pushed it back and twisted clockwise and it wedged in perfectly.

BTW, it sounds great and a noticeable difference after the ECU adapts.

Note that if you have active steering the relocate of the power steering bracket has a few different tricks.

Sorry to bump..

I have the Vishnu dual cone intakes installed now, was wondering if there was any difference between these dual cone intakes and the HVI intake? They also seem to be similarly priced.

Main difference is obvious, one is dual cone intake, the other is a single cone intake.

If you already have the dual cones, I wouldn't bother with getting the Logic HVI imho.

To add it seems that the HVI is more restrictive due to decreased surface area and the bends in the tubing.
