I know a lot of young guys don’t understand naturally aspirated engines. For us older guys. Just look at this! Revs, revs and more revs.

I love everything about it, save for the way it looks. The proportions are all over the place; it's an awkward looking thing. The race version does a better job of balancing out the proportions.

Of course, it's a 4 litre V12. If you want torque, you need displacement and heavier cylinders.

Yep.

This is the reason the Z06 makes less torque than the Stingray (even though it makes good torque, since it's still a relatively large engine) and the BMW M3 V8 and countless others. Either mass or through pressure, you'll generate more torque.

Torque just gets you to illegal speed faster, wonderful on a race track, a bit futile on public roads where you want to wring out an engine a bit

Horsepower determines how fast you hit the wall, torque how far through the wall

Turbo torque is more fun for commuting.
Naturally aspirated power that builds with revs is more fun for driving.
