2011 318d N47T Intermittent rough idle

Hi,

I own a BMW 2011 318d. It's developed an intermittent rough idle / rev bounce.
I tried checking for fault codes, was o2 sensor I have changed that with genuine bosch. Also had DPF Regen code.
If I clear the codes my rough idle goes away for a good couple of weeks.

I start to notice it after 5-10 mins of driving. When I come to a stop the rev needle starts bouncing up and down, and it sounds like it's misfiring / about to stall but the revs auto jump up to save it without any throttle input.
As soon as I give it any power or slightly let out the clutch the engine runs smooth again, it's like there's no issue. This rough idle is happening for a good 20mins and then goes away.
I can still use stop-start while the rough idle is on.

Very concerned any help would be very much appreciated
Thanks.

Same Issue

Hi, i have the same thing happening to me, the only difference is that the rough idle goes on for about 1-2 minutes. Did you maybe find out what the issue was?
