In the last run before, where you took 6.5 seconds for 100-200 km/h, you've written that it was 24-25 psi and 13-14 degrees of timing. So I guess with this cited run these figures were even higher. Btw: What is your mileage meanwhile? No issues so far concerning your transmission? Last edited by M2C; 11-21-2023 at 06:51 AM.. |

And how much boost/timing are you running with your big map (E40?)? I guess around 29/30 psi and up to 18 degrees of timing? |

E55 Flex Fuel: 28.5-29.0psi 18 timing (5.6sec 100-200) E85 Flex Fuel + PI Rail: 38 psi 20 timing (4.8-4.9sec 100-200) Low timing because of bad fueling, once i did E85 no problems increasing timing and boost of course. E85 time is improvable up to 4.5sec 100-200 problem was grip and summer heat. I did E55 just bad 93oct fuel. If not E40 can push more before finding the HPFP/Injectors Limit. Seen 5.10 sec 100-200 with E40 If you are from Germany with Aral102 you can push less than 5sec for sure, even with 93 you can do better than my time with proper tune because your country fuel is way better Last edited by jav140i; 12-02-2023 at 05:21 PM.. |

You're right with the fuel here in Germany. That's why I told my tuner to try 25 psi and 14 degrees timing for 102 RON. But still have to log the tune. |

My gen 1 b58 has 11:1 ratio stock, the G42 240i that has gen 2 uses less cr. Depends on goals but if i don't build my engine i prefer lower cr like yours. Recently a gen 2 340i made 1000whp stock bottom block, i don't know if a gen 1 stock can get there really

mhd e40 ots
had the dragy of a friend in the car and had some space to do one pull, so only tried once. full tank of gas and I shifted to 6th before I hit 200. I guess I shouldn't have done that lol

I went back to page 23 to look at my stock turbo times and I was able to run a 7.26 and a 7.46, 62-124 mph at 32/52 degrees farenheit, respectively. It was hero DA for sure, but still doable. I was probably around 470 WHP at the time. I think I was usually more in the upper 7 range 100-200 and upper 8 range 60-130.

1 Series, right? It is not surprising at all I’d say for a 1 series... it is pretty light. The problem is it takes off shortly after 😉

A stock M lite or any 40i for that matter from factory is a bit of a pudding anyways (and it becomes worse if you add more power), at least for me as I'm used to also driving other cars that are sorted from factory (M3/M4/AMG GTC/Alpine A110S/F10 M5 comp/etc.), whether it's a 1/2/3/440i, it's a pudding from OEM. Mainly due to the disconnected rear, way too lose OEM bushings, open diff, shit oem dampers (place the oem dampers next to a set of proper ones and you'll laugh at the pistons' size difference). But I understand not everybody wants to spend extra money or cares enough about good handling and just wants a car to go fast on a straight. But anyways, about the times, yeah, M140i/M240i are a bit lighter (not as much as the official info says though, I've seen mine on the scales and right after an F80 M3 and surprisingly there was only around 65 kg/140 lbs difference with both roughly having half a tank and no person in the car, so whatever info is online it just seems incorrect). My car on the scales was 1548 kg or 3412 lbs I'm at around 21 psi tapering down to around 18.5-19 psi with 18.5° timing advance (in some logs the boost can differ a little due to air density changing in lower or higher ambient temps). Those are all the facts, I can't be more transparent. And as I said, I realized that I shifted before hitting 200kph to 6th so that definitely cost me a tenth at least. I also do know another guy who ran 6.9s 100-200 kph a few years ago when the MHD E40 map got released, he also had an M140i, but he ran the dragy while it was freezing outside. I also don't know why someone would start trolling by lying about such a thing, that'd be petty.

People seem to forget (not saying you) not only boost makes power, but also timing, especially on a B58.

No, I was on a custom tune from Paul Johnson, running E40 and a DS1 HPFP.

Congrats DD you got one strong B58 out there that's M5/M8 comp 100-200 level.
Looks like the early shifting actually helped as you can see from the speed curve the car accelerated harder from 190 to 200. Weight M140i 1545 kgs, 340i 1615 kgs Tyre Diameter M140i 630 cm, 340i 660 cm

F90 competition usually runs 100-200 in 7.3-7.4 stock. So this guy destroys F90's with gen1 b58 stock turbo and OTS tune. what a luck
