New genuine expansion tank defective.

Bought a new genuine expansion tank and cap off of FCP and installed it today. Found that the cap keeps cross threading on the new ET and not locking correctly with the arrow! New cap + old expansion tank works fine. Looks like a quality issue with these ETs. Thoughts? E-mailed FCP but waiting to hear back from them.

to be clear - when you say "cross threading" you do mean that it doesn't thread on right and cannot be fully tightened to make a seal?

If that's not what you mean and you're just concerned about the arrows lining up, that doesn't really matter. Mine has never been aligned, like ever. zero issues.
