E90 pre lci.
I would like to know if you have any tests to do on the rain sensor.
Notice that I start to walk with less sensitivity, now let's say it almost doesn't work.
How I changed the windshield I thought that was it.
I restarted it from INPA and also from ISTA.
But it remains the same, in the ISTA within the modules it appears in green as if it has no problems.

Something strange when you go to do the sensor test ISTA services it only shows me the light sensor but not to test the rain sensor.

In INPA it shows me the ranges but it does not say if it is rain or light, parameters and bars appear but it does not discriminate one or the other.
Does anyone know which bar is for the rain bar?

Whatever you try.
Reset the rls and fzd modules with NCS Expert.
Load a backup from before that I made of the module.
start with INPA
Calibrate with ISTA.

Can you think of anything else?
If not, I'm going to buy a module on Ebay and try it.

this is well known issue if the windshield was replaced and sometimes it is now very good quality and either do not have RLS lens glued from factory or sensor is not correctly attached to this lens.

look, the sensor should be firmly attached to lens, and lens should be glued to screen without bubbles and not using very thick tape.
after the screen replacement, you need to clean windshield in the place of the sensor, put car in a daily light environment and clear/initialise RLS sensor using INPA or ISTA

also, to save the initialisation, you need to stop engine and close the car, the car should sleep for more than hour

after that you can enable sensor with ignition enabled and try quick spill some water on the sensor. you may also use sprayer to imitate drizzle
the wiper should act immediatly
if you are a ninja you can quickly touch sensor and immediatly remove hand, the wiper should act immediatly

Even day one fully calibrated the rain sensor has never been very good. It's sad that the only option is a rain sensor or always on. Such a bad design it should still have some intermittent choices that don't rely on the sensor.

Hello, good nickname, it brought back memories of the movie Hackers.

This worked very well, at least it complied, when changing the windshield, it stayed working but it got worse and worse.
and now he doesn't want anything.
I'm going to try taking it apart and seeing if it's stuck, and recalibrate under the sky, since I did it inside a garage.

At least it remains as before.
