TCM failing?

I have an automatic 2008 E93 335i (84,544 mi) and the tranny has always been a bit rough but I never received any codes from it. The car is pretty much stock with the exception of a VRSF charge pipe, Tial BOV, and VRSF DCI.

Last night I got my codes read at Autozone after going through a transmission malfunction and I had the codes below:

P17E5 (ratio monitoring clutch E)

with secondary codes...
5087 (Hardware inputs inching function)
4F95 (gear transmission ratio B-E)
4F85 (gear transmission ratio E)

I believe that the Transmission Control Module going out, but I'm not too sure. Could anyone help me diagnose this? I don't want to make any purchases before I know for sure.

symptoms are...

- rough gear shifts (esp 3rd - 4th)

- random down/upshifts, even at very low speeds (as if it doesn't know which gear to choose)

- rpm flutters in neutral

- transmission malfunction every so often

Any help or suggestions are appreciated!!!
