Rep. Wire B+

For about 5 years my 2005 318d (m47) has been quite slow turning over(more noticable when colder obviously).
It's so slow, sometimes, that it runs rough when it does fire.(never turns over for long)

It's had two batteries/two starters/engine earth and no parasitic drain.
If I press the start button, then again before it starts, and try starting it again, it turns over faster.

I've seen the repair kits containing a copper and aluminium repair, but is there a kit for both cables?

Or is it only the smaller of the two cables that causes problems?
Both of mine are corroded under the caps(in the wheel arch).
Cheers, Phil.

Have you checked battery voltage, with engine running and engine off?

About 12.4v and 14.7v.
It has fault codes, but only related to HVAC.
Cheers.
