If you want the raised Vmax and don't fill up within margin of error, the car will probably end up bitching about it nonstop .
Confirmed, changing the winter tire settings to <100MPH has changed the TPMS recommended pressures to 36 PSI front and 41 PSI rear, I can live with this.

Hopefully I don't have a legitimate reason to need to go above 100MPH in the winter on these tires. You know, emergencies and whatnot. That's assuming the car won't let me with this selection made.

I remembered that I went into look at my tire settings and they weren't set to > 100 and then after changing them, I thought I saw the left speedometer incrase to 160-ish, but now that I went back in my car and tried switching it on-off that setting it's not changing. Now I'm wondering if I mis-remembered or hallucinated that, or if maybe the Vmax was removed all along, and I had to do it once to get it to stick on the UI .

I bought my '23 m240ix fully kitted out with the ZTK package with Pilot Sports along with a set of winter tires. Come to find out that there was a manual setting to increase the speed limiter, which also increases the recommended tire pressure in the tire pressure monitor under the live vehicle app. I didn't realize this until playing around with the tire settings in iDrive a lot later. I've currently set my winter tires to the higher speed limiter mostly for consistency and cosmetics though I haven't really gone that speed.

Also I bought bimer code on black friday and as far as I can see in the generic configurables, there is no way to raise the speed limit from that.
Hey where did you find this?
I went to the tyre pressure monitor setting and couldn’t see it.

Offhand for iDrive 8, Should be Apps > Live Vehicle, then there should be a button related to tires, then tire settings.

Straight into a jail cel lol. That’s if somehow you manage to stay alive despite the terrible roads that are not designed for that speed

Had the opportunity to hit 156mph over the weekend and it didn’t feel like cutting power. Had to lift so didn’t have a chance to take it any further. I thought the limiter was supposed to be 150mph?

My bad, meant to say 155 on the dash, 150 in reality. Didn’t seem to want to cut at 156 but I might have been going 149.9 (actual) or something like that so that makes sense I guess

Its there you just didn't hit it. Unless of course you got one of those Friday builds where Juan was feeling frisky.

Shame your dealer didn’t look out for you… they are very vocal about it at mine and if you option on other than the summer tires you have to sign a waiver.
