Finally, some real racing, I've had enough click bate arm chair quarterbacking to last me a life time. The Formula One season can't start soon enough for me but Bathurst will absolutely do for now.

Its a big weekend for them .. several different events before the main event. These Combined Sedans are NUTS!

Forget about the ‘V8 Supercars’ rubbish, for those in the know this is Oz’s premier tintop racing event of the year.
Great to see all 3 days are televised. The BMW’s are much more competitive now & a Rossi win would be a great story.
BMW have also supplied an XM safety car to escort the spectator safari van around the track.

Couldn’t stay up and had to catch the replay. Top 8 all within a second…top 5 less than 1/2 second.

Gonna be a great race. Might be a wet race towards the finish.

The Manthey 992 definitely looks the goods early on.
XM safety car is currently out for an off, hopefully this won’t be the only BMW in front of the field for the rest of the day.

They had a chance too.

Bathurst brothers…it’s a tough track. Though it looks to me the car he hit could/should have kept tucked into that left wall. But, what’s done is done. What do you think TargaM2 ?

Slower cars such as the Ginetta should be out of way & constantly scanning the rear view mirror. Having said that the BMW should have had more patience especially in that part of the track. As someone who’s spent plenty of time racing at Mt Panorama I can tell you the cutting has one usable line only.
Rossi car is still looking good however the weather is still not hot so it remains to be seen just how competitive the BMW will be should it warm up.

So the Grello Manthey 992 of Matt Campbell won (no surprise). Fitting result considering it was clearly the standout car. The remaining BMW finished 5th.
Organizers have already stated next years event will be even bigger & include 2 or 3 new GT3 manufacturers (Ford, Chev, Mclaren).
