Warning: - Don't Flash without a Battery charger! Don't open or close Door when Flashing. Better when the Door is Closed! - If you have Keyless, It's better to Plug in the Key in the Ignition! - Don't flash if your car is after 2013 or got Update by Dealer after 07/2012! -Open driver's door and turn ignition ON (cluster gauge on) Basically hit the start button twice without starting car.. -connect cable to obd connector of car -Load Winkpf software -Press (F1) comfort mode -Press (F3) Update ZUSB -Choose ECU MEVD17(xx) ** Choose MEVD17 in most cases -Press (F2) Choose ZUSB -Choose ECU MEVD17 and next to it there will be ZB Numbers.. Find 86xxxxx -Click ok -If you have done it correctly so far you will see at the top Assembly Identification number 86XXXXX (Flash software ) -Press (F4) Enter VIN ( make sure you double check you have entered the correct VIN numbers) -click ok -Press DONE (F8) -Press (F3) Program -Pop up window will say you can code the ECU 63 more times, click ok -Flashing begins and you will have to wait till it reaches 100% twice.. The first bar will finish rather quickly and then another bar progress of 100% will take about 3-4 minutes the most and it will be completed... -If everything is done correctly, then you will get a pop up screen saying programming done, click ok -Shut off car by taking key out. Lock car with key, wait 5 minutes and start the car.. **After flashing there is an encoding error code. You just have to code 62BMO or 63BMO to default using NCS Expert and the error is gone. |

Flashing PPK
Hi all,
Sorry for reviving a dead thread. I'm just trying to figure out the PPK ZB Number for my vehicle. ECE E92 335i N55 DCT (2012 - manufactured 06/2011) MEVD172 Current ZB: 8684926 Model: KG72 SP-Datens 67.1 I'm having trouble understanding the 'kmm_ATSH.txt' file. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

For those confused about finding the ZB number as I was, just follow RocketSurgeon's suggestion. Find your current ZB number using INPA (mine was 8684988), then look in the e89 DATEN file and find the kmm_ATSH.txt file. search for the ZB number you have in there. When you find it, the header above it will list which cars it applies to. in my case, I have an E90 335i US spec so rather than UN73, my product type is PM53 and the header in the kmm_ATSH file was PM53 | PM57: -NPOW.... I searched for the PM53 | PM57: NPOW header and it then lists all the codes, the last one is the most up to date. in my case, the latest code with the PPK is 8685036. Once I updated the ECU in WinKFP, I skipped step 7 which was writing blank FSW_PSW.MAN from NCS Expert. Supposedly you need to do this to remove an error that triggers an check engine light, but I test drove the car without performing this step and dont have any CEL. |

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I couldn't find an answer.
My car has a custom ECU reflash. Can I still do the PPK flash or would this mess up the current remap? If it's possible, would there even be a point? |

Well today I managed to update my car by the official way. A guy in UK Dayvg could get the FSC Code with a Key that i have purschased in eBay that comes with the Performance Kit 2, then I just went to ISTAP, Vehicle, Conversions and then I select Power Kit, ISTAP ask for a complete update of all the modules to get the last i Level or integration Level, take about 1 hour and all the modules were programmed and coded, yes also the DME with the new PPK 😎.

In case I install the PPK tune and then add MHD stage 1, will the burbles from PPK tune remain? I don't like the pops and bangs from MHD...
