im buying a used DME.

If I install a used dme from another 330i, do I need to get it coded by the dealer?

anyone know?

Your best bet is to send it (along with your original) to one of the many third party shops that can clone DMEs. *Most* dealers likely won't be able to help unless you're buying a replacement DME directly from them.

when I do get the used DME should I plug it into my car ? or should I take mine out and the new used one and take it to a shop to get the used one cloned?

You have to send the DME your cas and your keys. I've used Bimmer ECU. Great service.
