2007 BMW 328i Sport Wagon – Manual Transmission!

2 owner BMW that I bought from BMW of Irvine in 2010. Love the car, but we now have more cars than drivers and need to let one go.

Car history:

The car was initially leased by BMW of Irvine and returned to the dealer at lease end, which is when I bought it in 2010. The dealer said they had replaced the clutch in the first 3 years. The car was CPO’d when I bought it from the dealer.

In the 13 years I have owned it, it has not been in any accidents. It has been in Southern California the entire time except for a few road trips to Arizona, Nevada and Utah. It had seen light snow for a few weeks on a Utah trip around 2017.

Specification:

The wagon is Titanium Silver Metallic on Black Dakota Leather.

It is optioned with the Premium Package, Sport Package, Comfort Access keyless entry and has the light Poplar natural wood trim. The big features for me were the manual transmission, sport package (meaning sport suspension, sport seats and steering wheel) and upgraded stereo. The other key feature was that it was the rear wheel drive version. The wagon has just under 143,000 miles on the odometer.

Maintenance:

The car has been maintained at both Bob Smith and Rusnak BMW dealers as they are the 2 closest to us, and they have done all of the oil changes for the last 7 years. BMW value service is $100 for an oil change and you can’t beat that. For repairs and maintenance, I have used a few BMW specialist shops for things like brakes, the replacement water pump and thermostat, transmission and brake fluid drains, etc.... things that made sense to use an independent for. If you’re a local buying it, I would recommend Rob at Bimmer Connection. He’s been the best independent I have found.

The car is a daily driver and has been maintained like one. I have needed it to just run. I have 2 folders of receipts for basics like oil changes, tires and brakes as well as once/90,000 mile services. You are more than welcome to all of the records.

What needs attention:

Tires will need replacement in the next year (Brakes are near new).

The TPMS sensors in each wheel need replacement. They are the originals and likely the batteries have died.

There is a radiator hose with a slow leak that needs to be replaced.

What you should know:

The passenger side mirror is either out of alignment or the housing needs to be replaced.

Only the front panel of the sunroof tilts up. The rear panel does not. The sunroof opens and closes normally, as does the shade.

The stereo head unit is viewable only when cold. When it’s warm, you can’t see much. The stereo works, but the display is washed out.

The car is a blast to drive. It’s never been tracked, modded or abused, but I have enjoyed it immensely over my 13 years of ownership.

I can't figure out how to add pictures to this post that are full fat files. Each image is 7 - 12mb and it seems that won't work here.

If you are interested, I will send all of the pictures (took about 20). Or if you have suggestions on how to do so, I'm all ears.

Thank you!!

I'd love to see the pics, will DM. Have the struts/suspension bushings/ball joints ever been done or are those all original? Also, could I get the VIN? Thanks!

H-Atkinson, only the thrust arms and I believe the front control arms have been replaced. Didn't make sense to replace just the bushings as they cost more to replace than the entire arm. Here is a link to the pictures: https://netgainusa-my.sharepoint.com...863Qw?e=ykHDBq
