worn down rear tires

When did you guys need to get your rear tires replaced? I had my second oil change today at just over 65100km (~40400 miles) and they told me both my rear tires are down to 2mm thread.

The car is roughly 20 months old

In any case, I have scheduled to bring in my car to a tire store on Thursday as they did not have the right RFTs in stock.

The vast majority of driving I do is on motorways, perhaps you do a lot more start/stop traffic? Or you spin you wheels?

With your rate I would probably have to change tires every 6 months!

Well I got the rear tires replaced today at ~65450km. The front once have 5mm left so they are still OK for the moment although they advised to check again in October.

The leasing company policy is not to replace tires until they get to 3mm. And instead of the factory Michelin tires I now have Bridgestone rear tires (again the leasing company dictates these things)

Hello! I am an average chick driver here who likes to have a bit of fun from time to time.

Replaced first RF at 22,000 but they were so bald (needed it by 18,000 but the $1400 price tag took me a bit to swallow). Now, 15,000 miles later again, seems I am well on my way to a new set.

I am debating getting non-RF but hate the idea of no spare, no doughnut.

Screwed.

Wow, that a lot of mileage out of those rear tires of yours. Are they 16"?
