Thanks for confirming again I’ll post some pictures when I have it apart.

I goofed and presented the car at MOT with EML on (failed HPFP) since i needed a ticket to keep road testing it. Automatic fail of course. Also failed emissions check on both runs, high lambda. Cert showed E39 on emissions page but I let it go because the EML on was slam dunk fail anyway.

Went back couple weeks later armed with the relevant page for the N53 from the emissions manual 19th edition. Went back a few hours later, pass cert received showing the car passed against the 'standard' limits it had previously failed on. Didn't get to speak to tester but will certainly do so next time I present the car just to 'remind' them.

Doesn’t surprise me I have had more than one argument about labda readings and fail on first check. One once suggested it must be because of a leak in the exhaust.

What is the document you are referring too mot 19th?

I usually take the bmw printout about emissions and lamda readings now just incase.
