Summer road trip in the making

son in law has gone on a road trip today - Hertfordshire to St Andrews where he will proceed to spoil a nice walk by using his gold bats 4 times in as many days....

Not sure he was massively looking forward to it in his C43 (that isnt run in yet)....

Great place. I have driven it a few times in one go and it's a looong drive. From Cambs to Eurotunnel it's 2.5hrs then a good 10/11 hours from Calais and that's with out stopping and you have to stop for fuel etc...But the French Toll roads are smooth and mostly empty and make for a relaxing drive.

Yes, that's Königsee - Mittenwald is another amazing place. Can imagine there is a stunning route between these two destinations.

It's a massive drive though, so I would probably just fly and rent a car there

Do have a road trip this year , leaving Sunday and off to Cornwall, not quiet the same but we will be taking in a few routes over the moors
