Leaking water pump

Alright y’all. I have a very slight leak and it seems to only slightly leak when it’s at operating temp. I can’t seem to find where the leak is coming from. Looks like where it plugs into the unit there is a slight drip. Possibly hose above it? At first I thought it as leakin where the pump connects to the plastic t stat. Seems to be the weak point.

I am wondering what’s the best route to do this? Cheapest route but not complete ebay junk.

I noticed rock auto had a “STP” brand for $190.00 but it’s now sold out and the cheapest they currently have is the VDO/continental for $319.99 or so. Plus a $40 stp tstat and new bolts around $360.00.

I’m going to do this job before I do my oil pan gasket since it’s forsure leaking and I’m not 100% yet if my oil pan gasket is leaking or if it’s my RMS. I know for a fact the oil pan gasket is but I think the RMs may be also. 150k miles, 2009. Last pump changed at 75k miles, oil pan gasket never has been replaced. Neither has rear main seal.

Most likely oil pan gasket because of age/mileage and vehicle being 100% stock it’s whole life therefore no excessive blow back pressure from
PCV. Also replaced the vent hose and PCV valve when I did valve cover 2 years ago at about 110k miles.

$428.00 plus tax and ship for this pump. Hmm. I don’t think I’m plan on keeping the car for more than 2 more years. Just want go a cheap but reliable way. Should have snagged that stp for $190 from rock auto before it was gone.

The pier burg looks real nice though
