What else should i replace with valve cover
Going to replace the vc on my e92 325i (uk) n52b25a with a febi part, does anyone know which gaskets this includes? And i cant find where to buy an oem bmw gasket for the vc. Any recommendations on what else to replace while im doing this the car is at 120k miles at the moment.

Genuine covers come complete with gaskets and fixing bolts in place. As for other jobs, a good time to do oil filter housing gasket if not already done...

I'm replacing my valve cover next month, also UK 2.5L N52B25. Already ordered MILVS from Marty yesterday, will do that now as I don't want to go through opening it all up again any time soon. Might get the breather hose, that one from the back of the cover which has like 75% chance to break... If I do that, I might as well just replace whole CCV with other hoses.
Probably will do oil filter gasket as well at the same time. Someone mentioned to me that I might as well get new DISA valves for the manifold. They might still be the original ones, car is from 2006. Does someone here knows if those degrade with time and affect performance and I should surely replace them after so many years of service? Or unless broken - do not touch? |

Not sure if your N52 valve cover is alloy or plastic, but if it's plastic I would replace the whole cover. It's easy to replace just the gasket and miss a hairline crack or dead PCV system, which then means repeating the whole job again to change the cover.
