LiquiMoly 5W-30 Longtime High Tech
So I got some Fully Synthetic Motor Oil on sale. I don't know much about liquimoly because I just recently purchased my BMW but I was wondering if the longtime high tech was anything like high mileage oil that doesn't have anything to do with mileage but typically has a chemical that enlarges engine gaskets to stop oil leaks. Any gripes about this oil compared to regular full synthetic or anything I should look out for? Thanks!

The LM website says that LiquiMoly 5W-30 Longtime High Tech has it. The "Longtime" marketing implies it is suitable for extended (OE) oil change interval - not a "high mileage" additives. PDS says: Quote:

Hey thanks! I actually don't have my DPF in because it is not stock anymore. Not sure if that makes a difference. Should I still try running it or will there be more separate issues if I do or anything to look out for?

However, since DPF is no longer in place, your oil choices are more open. You'll find lots of fans of Shell Rotella T6 5w40, Mobile 1 ESP 5w30, etc. Just remember to use high-quality oil filter that is made in Austria: BMW or Mahle. Mahle should come with all 3 o-rings, BMW branded one comes with 1 - you'll need to get other 2 separately

We are all different though so use Mahle every time if that's your preference. |
