Once engine is warm, RPM stutter and shuts down
N43, E92 LCI.
Once the engine warmed up a little bit the car runs irregularly and RPM dips, and then the engine shuts down completely. When I pump the pedal the RPM comes up. Already cleaned injectors at a specialized company, replaced drive chain, oil pump chain, fuel pressure sensor, rail pressure sensor and fuel filter. Problem still persists. It doesn't happen during cold start. Also engine makes a ticking noise when running. The problem is it might still be the injectors because the company which tested them actually only test them cold. They cannot replicate warm engine. Last edited by Kraiden; 03-15-2024 at 11:33 AM.. |

Got it fixed. Engine was running too lean and the software on the computer was not working as intended.
Replaced the computer that does the fuel system with a second hand one. Flashed the software from my old computer onto the second hand one and the problem was fixed. So I'm not talking about the iDrive or anything, just the computer that does the fuel. |
