Footwell Module Help

Whats up, recently tried to reset my battery and once it had everything back on i got the lighting system warning. All signs point to the footwell module ie. no power windows or mirrors, no lights when unlock or locking the car.

Any methods i can try to bring it back? Im wondering if i try and reset the battery again if it will clear.

You need diagnostics .
Standard Tools and bimmergeeks cable recommended..
It's quite common for the FRM to go bad it usually happen's
You can send them out for repair or replace them , they do have to be programmed
to the car.
during programming though.

Interesting post as I recently purchased a 2011 328xi. In the paperwork I noticed that a battery was replaced, coded and then all windows and accessories stopped working in the car. The dealer had to replace the footwell module.

Heard there was a batch of them that went bad during programming there
was even some kind of recall as I recall , or extended warranty .

Not that difficult if you can follow instructions
and don't get flummoxed easily .

My experience in Canada, first call to dealers was "yep that sounds like the issue" no further advice. Replaced by pulling one at my local U-Pull. Back in business. Couple years later gat some parts for another job and asked abot FRM , told its covered to 15 years and 300,000 km. If only they mentioned that the first time.
