black leather belt stain on Beige Leatherette seat

Hi guys,

Anyone knows how to clean the black leather belt stain off the Beige Leatherette seats? The damn black belt I was wearing left off a nasty stain on my driver seat. I have tried to rub it off with water and soap but it doesn’t seem to work. :mad: Please help me.

Be thankful you don't have lemon leather!
What does the dealer recommend?
Ask a leather shop?
I would try dabbing on an Oxyclean product (like woolite's) after testing it on an out of the way place to make sure it does not bleach the 'ette. Maybe Chlorox II and a toothbrush.

looks like im gona have the same problem soon, there's a thin black line in my seats (same color as urz)

leatherette stains very easily....my friend's 325i with leatherette had that problem but her pants stained teh seat.....as for my car...no problems at all....probabaly another reason why people should get leather

i dont have annnny stains on my leatherette. it sounds like the problem is you are wearing dead flesh DYED a certain color belt. maybe the problem is your real leather belt, and not your synthetic seats.

I have a lemon and trust me if you want...i remove my belt before to seat in my car....

That's the stupidest thing I've heard, do you have any scientific proof? Hate to burst your bubble, but leather stain just the same, especially if it's beige or light color. For some reason, some leather owner just think their dead cowhide is some godsend miracle

I have tried to clean it with a toothbrush and soap water. That did not help. Looks like I will try other cleaning solutions soon. Even if I get it off the seat, what kind of leather belt would not leave a nasty stain again? Any ideas? The one I have now it's a Banana Republic black leather belt.

had this on my X5 with gray leather... it won't come off.

i tried every product you can image. 409 may lighten the stains.

hmmmmmmm didnt know u were talking about leatherette, mine has beige leather n has a thin black line on it, n i think its bcuz of the seat belt...

~ these work great with the lower area of the interior door panel where you tend to kick it with your foot.

removes all the shoe scuffs.
