Serpentine belt
Hi guys I’m new to bmw and still new to doing stuff myself, I’ve ordered a new belt as I’m getting noises but the old belt looks strange and I can’t find any pictures that look like it. Have attached old and new pictures
Thank you in advance |

not sure what that old belt is but nothing screams problems with it based on that one photo. What kinda noises are you dealing with?

Sounds like the bearing on a pulley/tensioner. Changing the belt likely won't solve that issue.

My belt would sometime chirp on launch skipping a little because of torque off the line. Doesn’t seem to do it anymore since I got mppsk, got a new one put in due to mileage.

That’s the old belt, swapped belts tensioner seemed fine as did pulleys, still making a chattering noise haven’t taken it for a actual drive yet tho
