(HELP) Replacing Waterpump&Thermostat without dropping subframe?
is it possible? I've already did some work; removed the radiator fan, removed the intercooler, dropped the swaybar and disconnected two hoses from the thermostat but can't seem to continue with the steps with the subframe in the way. I don't know what to do. All the DIY's online aren't XI specific

When I did mine I supported the engine with a support bar. Then you can remove the motor mount bolts and 6 subframe bolts. You will be able to move the subframe enough that that point to access the water pump and thermostat. Plan on replacing the hoses while your there. You don’t want to have to do this again anytime soon. I also clocked the hose clamps so I could access them when it put back together. This way you can tighten them as needed when coolant is topped off.
