corteco dibration damper noise.
So at 150k my vibration damper failed.
Swapped it out for a new corteco kit with the bolts. All torqued and angled correctly. But since the swap I've noticed some noise as i hit 3krpm that wasn't there before. It's only as you approach 3k rpm. It does this when in neutral and driving. I know corteco is meant to be oem but could this be the price I've paid by not going oem in this instance. Anyone have any similar issues? Thanks Rich |

You can try to add alternator clutch pulley which can absorb some of the vibrations abd make your damper last longer

So just to update this. I just swapped out the corteco one with a genuine part from bmw and the noise is all gone.
The were some slight differences in the bmw part and corteco one mainly in the rubber on the dampner. Not sure if bmw is using a different material to dampen the noise. Just fyi. Thanks |
