Gas tank filling issue

I am having a problem that seems quite common. I cannot fill my gas tank, except if I can get the pump to go extremely slowly this happens at every gas station. I’ve heard it could be the gas tank vent or the charcoal filter. Was wondering if I can get a little more advice on what it likely is and how to fix it and fix and if this is a DIY job for someone who is not a master mechanic

Also seems like a defect in manufacturing has there been any talk about that or recall?

If it happened under warranty, it would be fixed. There is no risk of harm, so it would never be a recall.

There are a couple threads on the subject. Cannot comment on the difficulty though.
